I am a writer and designer from Aotearoa New Zealand, currently based in the United Kingdom. I began my TTRPG journey in 2018, and have fully embraced the hobby as a player, DM, and indie writer/designer.
I write and play games because I enjoy stepping out of my own life for a little while and seeing a different world through the eyes of someone else; I love to explore a character’s motivations and opinions and shape their experience of their world to better understand my own. I love the idea that something I produced has the power to inspire imagination, inspiration and excitement in others. I wholly believe in the power of great storytelling and constantly aspire to share it with others either across a game table or via the pages of a book.I have been writing creatively for most of my life, and I especially take pride in my character creation and development skills which permeate both my hobbies and TTRPG writing work. I am primarily interested in fantasy and horror genres ranging from modern dark fantasy and folk horror to medieval settings and “Tolkienesque” worlds.
My TTRPG Work
I have published several roleplaying games and supplements, all of which are available on itch.io, DriveThruRPG, and RPG Trader. I have been a finalist in the CRIT Awards twice, in 2023 for the category "Best blog or article written in the TTRPG space", and most recently in 2026 for my Trophy Dark incursion, "Thus Spake Agathis", which has been selected as a finalist for the "Best Homebrew, Supplement or Third party Content" category.My writing has been featured in a number of published titles, including the TTRPG-focused art books Tome of Pacts and Book of Devotion, both published by Sleepy Wyrm Creative Guild. I was also part of the writing team on Cassi Mothwin’s Tangled Blessings expansion, Echoes of Lost Electives, and was an adventure writer for Table Cat Games' Monster Truckers: Long Haul into the Worstlands. Most recently, I have contributed to Fistful of Crits' Daggerheart supplement, Toe Beans Magical Cat Cafe, which will be published later in the year.In 2023, I created gothHoblin's Grimoire, a three-issue free community zine that brings together content from like-minded indie writers, artists, and designers under the themes of Gothic Horror, Ancient Magic, and Folk Horror respectively.

This project involved both narrative writing and mechanical features, including the creation of GM NPCs, lore involving the cart, a magical loyalty system, as well as themed menu items all ready to drop in to a campaign.

This project involved learning a new rule system and creating an adventure to fit within a prescribed word count and tight deadlines, matching the humorous and exciting tone of the game.
