I am a writer and designer from Aotearoa New Zealand, currently based in the United Kingdom. I began my TTRPG journey in 2018, and have fully embraced the hobby as a player, DM, and indie writer/designer.
I write and play games because I enjoy stepping out of my own life for a little while and seeing a different world through the eyes of someone else; I love to explore a character’s motivations and opinions and shape their experience of their world to better understand my own. I love the idea that something I produced has the power to inspire imagination, inspiration and excitement in others. I wholly believe in the power of great storytelling and constantly aspire to share it with others either across a game table or via the pages of a book.I have been writing creatively for most of my life, and I especially take pride in my character creation and development skills which permeate both my hobbies and TTRPG writing work. I am primarily interested in fantasy and horror genres ranging from modern dark fantasy and folk horror to medieval settings and “Tolkienesque” worlds.
My TTRPG Work
I have published several roleplaying games and supplements, all of which are available on itch.io and DriveThruRPG. I also maintained a blog for most of this time, and in 2023 was a finalist in the CRIT Awards category "Best blog, or article written in the TTRPG space".My writing has been featured in a number of titles including the inspirational art books Tome of Pacts and Book of Devotion, both published by Sleepy Wyrm Creative Guild. I was also part of the writing team on Cassi Mothwin’s Tangled Blessings expansion, Echoes of Lost Electives.In 2023, I created gothHoblin's Grimoire, a free community zine that brings together content from indie creators under a common theme.

Tangled Blessings: Echoes of Lost Electives
Cassi MothwinGuest writer contributing journalling prompts for Year 3-4 students in the House of Celestials. This project involved writing prompts from scratch to fit the required brief, communicating with fellow writers as well as making edits and adjustments in response to feedback. The expansion successfully crowdfunded in late 2024.
Book of Devotion
Sleepy Wyrm Creative GuildContributing writer for the Wisdom Beyond Fates section including deity write ups and devotee summaries. This project involved collaborating with multiple artists to collectively envision and bring to life these characters from concept through to completion. Successfully crowdfunded via Kickstarter in May/June 2024.

Sleepy Wyrm Creative GuildContributing writer for the Eldritch section, including two warlock patron write ups. This project involved collaborating with multiple artists to collectively envision and bring to life these characters from concept through to completion. Trash Pals is a light-hearted tabletop RPG where players work together as a group of animal friends looking for the best trash haul of their lives! Play as a raccoon, an opossum, a stray cat or an urban fox as you sniff out only the best half-empty takeout containers and cheese wrappers that humans can throw away, and work together to mitigate barriers between you and your ultimate haul. You only have one night!

Tangled Blessings: Rock Band
